A Time for Daniels
Daniel lived an uncompromising life in the midst of a compromising generation
Will you be a Daniel to your generation?

Our internship is founded on eight basic principles that we see in the life of Daniel the Old Testament Prophet. Each of these principles reflects a quality that we believe set Daniel apart in his generation.

One - Unashamed Boldness - Daniel was not intimidated by his surroundings and was confidently able to step into situations that stretched him.

Two - Unblemished Faith - Daniel was a man who walked by faith not by sight. Daniel learned to look beyond the visible to the potential in a situation.

Three - Uncommon Standards - Daniel held unflinchingly to the principles he held in his heart and would not be moved by what was popular or politically correct!

Four - Unusual Tests - Daniel was a man fully prepared to overcome obstacles that got in his way without forfeiting his integrity.

Five - Unhindered Persistence - Daniel was not discouraged by the resistance that his life faced. He was a man who wouldn't quit.

Six - Unearthly Protection - Daniel was a man who rested in God’s ability to keep him, even in situations of great risk!

Seven - Unlimited Influence - Daniel consistently had influence in many settings because of his outstanding character.

Eight - Unmeasureable Blessing - Daniel not only had abundance but knew how to manage abundance without his heart being caught up in these blessings.

We are in an hour in our nation when it is common for our leaders to live a life filled with both moral and ethical compromise. Even within much of the body of Christ low standards exist.

It is the goal of the Lion’s Den Youth Internship Program to influence a generation of young people,
ages 18-28, to live to a higher standard!

We believe that it is the calling of every Christian to live with a spirit of excellence that sets us apart from those around us. Da.12:11 says, “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars for ever and ever!”

Using the life of Daniel as our example for an excellent life, the internship will be an environment of personal growth that will challenge each participant to a life of passion for Jesus Christ and radical commitment to be a voice to the coming generations!

What Makes Us Different?
Our internship is unique in that we seek to involve our interns in the life of the community through volunteer work in the realms of government, law enforcement, education, community, low income neighborhoods and the regional body of Christ. We are building community partnership with our region that will expose the interns to a wide array of settings and cause them to face the issue of integrating our Christianity with our practical role in society and culture.

As the program develops we will also be starting businesses that the young people will be involved in operating and managing as part of their learning experience. These businesses will generate resources for missions and ministry as well as become outlets for evangelism.

How does the Program Work?

Based at Sturbridge Worship Center in Sturbridge, Mass., each intern will be a part of the program for a nine month commitment, except in cases of special need. We customize each person’s specifics to meet their level of maturity and experience, but the basics are the same for all interns. Each of our interns will be a part of a variety of settings that will include:

Classroom Training
The interns will spend time daily in classes designed to equip them and expose them to new areas of thinking.

Personal & Corporate Prayer
We are committed to giving our interns a clear sense of the importance of a life of personal and corporate prayer. The interns will participate daily in various styles of prayer meetings.

Small Group Discussion
Our interns will have times of group discussion where we work through the application of the life experiences we encounter through the internship.

Personal Mentors
Each intern will have a personal mentor committed to knowing them personally and investing in them.

Work Projects
Our interns will have daily work assignments in a variety of different settings designed to impact them in a diversity of ways, both intellectually and emotionally.

Family Life
We will be establishing settings for the interns that cultivate a sense of family and strengthen them in the interpersonal skills necessary to healthy living.

Missions
Each team of interns will experience a short term missions project as a part of their internship.

Evangelism
The interns will be active in lifestyle evangelism through many of the settings that they engage in as a part of their daily life, as well as targeted outreaches as the term year unfolds.
