CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Our goal at Sturbridge Worship Center is to raise godly children and teens.  We endeavor to train and equip young believers to live out their faith and to walk in the fullness of their destiny in Jesus Christ. It has been our experience that the most spiritually mature children come from families that are actively engaged in the spiritual development of their children. It is our desire to partner with parents to provide instruction and resources to equip them to raise godly children.

During our Sunday morning service, the children remain with their parents for worship and then are dismissed to their individual classes for their own time to learn the Bible in a relevant way for their age groups while the adults participate in the main church service

The Wiggle Room: This is a room furnished with short-circuit television of the worship service where parents can bring their young children who need a little room to wiggle.

Nursery: We offer nursery for Newborn to 3 year old children to be nurtured during the Sunday morning messages.

Kid's Church: For kids ages 4-12 years old. Our goal is to introduce and reinforce key themes and people in the Bible giving our kids a solid Biblical foundation.

Bible Literacy
We are covering a wide variety of topics to ensure that our kids have a solid Biblical foundation in the Word of God. We use creative and interactive teaching methods that include drama, music, videos and engaging games and activities that reinforce the Bible themes that are discussed weekly to teach the character and nature of God.

Prayer
We believe that this is a generation of children who will hear God’s voice. Children can know and hear God’s voice and experience the Holy Spirit at an early age, just as adults hear God’s voice. We provide many different opportunities for the children to pray and learn to hear God’s voice.

Worship
This group includes live music from our Jr. High Worship team twice a month with fun, interactive songs and songs that teach children how to experience intimacy with God.

Sidewalk Sunday School is an after-school outreach program to low-income families where we take the gospel to the streets at different outdoor parks in our local community. Based on the Sidewalk Sunday School model developed by Pastor Bill Wilson of Metro Ministries in New York City, we present the Good News of Jesus Christ to children and parents by developing teams to teach entertaining object lessons, music and Bible stories to reach out to a lost generation within our area. There are great opportunities at Sturbridge Worship Center for passionate people with a heart to help develop children in their calling. Skilled training is provided to those who desire to be a part of this history making team.
